another D.I.Y project?

it seems i have fallen in love with the Monki clothing line, i know i cannot order anything from its website, yet i still find myself regularly checking what new items have come in store. i could create a wish list the length of my arm with these clothes!

one of the items that have caught my eye is a short sleeved crew neck jumper, simple plain and grey i could see it going with everything!then i had a 'eureka' moment and thought maybe i could make something similar??
it does seem to be a plain crew neck jumper with the sleeves rolled up.
so the plan now is; to purchase a similar grey crew neck jumper, cut off the sleeves (to about the elbows), roll sleeves up and fix with one or two stitches.
as usual American Apparel is quite overpriced with theirs at £24, so before i head into work today i think i shall pass through Primark and see if they have anything similar!

also must note to pick up some Primark cheapie boob tubes to create an American Apparel look-a-like skirt as Rachel (the genius) from Leopard Print & Lace came up with!

that would definitely work! you might be able to pick up a really cheap kids grey sweatshirt somewhere if primark doesn't work.

i also do the boobtube as skirt thing, though they're always a bit loose at the waist.

I'm in love with the Monki clothing range too. I read on the news section of H&M recently that they'd bought the brand that does Monki (and something else but I can't remember) so maybe if we're lucky they'll start doing Monki within their stores? Fingers crossed!

I see Eleanor from Modette rocking that Monki top and now I really want one! I tried on the AA top but I don't think its quite as nice, so am still searching for an alternative too!
