i'll be honest and say i've never enjoyed holiday's to France much but i keep hearing some good things about the nightlife and shops in Paris, so it shall be interesting.

does anyone have any tips for places to eat cheaply or shops/exhibitions i should visit??any help will be gratefully received :)

My gosh, I am so jealous that it is possible for you to go to Paris for just a couple of days. That is so amazing, I want to live in England.
I hope you have a lovely time.

Ohhh i am jealous! it depends where you're staying, if you're in the 9th/18th (monmartre) there are some amazing thrift/junk type shops, that sell old levis, denim jackets and blazers like less than €5...i can't remember the name but i know there're more than one by/on the pigalle.
I can't really reccommend anymore, just make sure you see all the sights, they're definitely worth it :) x

I have never commented you before but always wanted to so I thought I must share this with you seen as though you share all our gems with us.you need to go to the vintage shop called Free ‘P’ Star. Its address:
8 rue Ste-Croix-de-la-Bretonnerie, 4th. Be careful of the opening times as me and my friend got caught out with it and had to wait 2 hours for it to open, but once inside well worth the wait(the afternoon is the probably the best time to go). Be prepared to spend lots of time in there. you will love it. If you are going to paris on a budget this is the shop to go. I am going there for my fourth time in april and i will never tire of the city. X

Oh I'm jealous! I've been thinking of going for my birthday, because it's my 21st and I can use money from my birthday for it but the euro to the pound rate is scaring me. Hope you have a wonderful time!

AHH so jelous. My boyfriend and I went last December for his birthday and it changed our lives haha. I've got a post about it in my blog with some cool places to go (check back to last Dec) and if I could recommend anywhere go to The Lazy Dog bookshop/gallery @ 2, Passage Thiéré, Paris. Enjoy.

I'm living in Paris this year so if you have any questions then hit me :) A good place to eat is by Sacre Coeur in Montmartre - you can get a 3-course meal for around €10! Montmartre is also a great place to shop - lots of cute vintage shops!

The Champs-Elysees isn't actually too expensive for lunch...the food is relatively cheap, but the drinks are quite expensive (around €6 for a coke!!) so bring your own drinks!!

I'd recommend going to the Marais..
(get off the metro at saint-paul)
it's a little less touristy than other places, it's pretty and chilled out with lots of nice cafes and some good vintage shops too.
