a lil bit of colour

back in Stoke now for the rest of term, spent the best two weeks hanging out with my parents, visiting family, and drinking way too much with good friends. for some reason i also ate my body weight in icecream! oh well. one thing im thinking about is what my mother said to me the other day. she asked me why where so much black, i didn't realise i did until i looked in my suitcase and there was only 2 items of clothing that weren't black.... i guess that's how it takes over your wardrobe, without you even noticing!

im going to make an effort to inject a little colour into my wardrobe for the summer, taking a leaf out of these girls book...

That same trend has started emerging in my current wardrobe ...it's so hard to resist ...black is sooo great!

I know what you mean, black is so tempting sometimes. I like the bottom right outfit, i wore something very similar today. I love the way that by adding just a coloured scarf to a black outfit you can completley transform it!

I'm shackled to my uniform until the end of term - but after that I probably won't wear black for months!! Six years is a long time for the same monochrome colour scheme :(

have to admit i hadn't really heard much of bat for lashes until now, but the new album is ace

I have been trying so hard not to buy anything black (but clearly failed with the AA bodysuit, haha), it's just so easy to use the "but it'll go with everything" excuse to buy it when it's black. Eating your own bodyweight in ice cream is never a bad thing ;) xx

Very true... my outfit has become a grey//black//white palette! Must learn how to incorporate colour in a non-cheesy/overly summery way by the time the hot weather arrives!

i love the massive scarf!!..and then you dont need to feel bad for wearing black underneath as 1. you cant really see much else and 2. if you add any more colour it may end up being too much

Ha, I understand what you mean, but black is just so classic and chic... everytime I don't know what to wear, I go for sth plain black.

I am exactly the same, people always go on at me about it. Whenever I try to inject some colour it always goes wrong ):
I am so jealous you got Kirsty's skirt below by the way (:
